Change for Change is thrilled to announce the results of our Second Annual Date Auction held April 19th - a $25,000 donation to the Claire Tow Pediatric Pavilion at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Hospital.
This year's Date Auction was held at the New York nightclub Pink Elephant, which opened its doors to our 500+ guests. Thirteen outstanding, charitably-minded men and women offered themselves up for auction. Each auctionee came with a date to a dinner, brunch, sporting or cultural event around the city. The event was run by Change for Change In the City, a program of the greater Change for Change organization, whose mission is to promote charitable giving among young professionals in New York City. Across its first three events, Change for Change In the City has raised over $35,000 for both cancer research and child literacy. The Second Annual Date Auction took place under the leadership of Change for Change In the City program Chairs Talia Zapolanski and Daniella Yacobovsky and event Co-Chairs Pooja Sinha and Astrid Montalta.
The Claire Tow Pediatric Pavilion, the beneficiary of the funds raised, is a unique pediatric day hospital and inpatient
care center that was built to effectively treat children with cancer in an environment that fosters hope and comfort. Click here to read more about the Pediatric Pavilion.
